MRKT SPACE is the brainchild of business partners Alex (the Italian) and Matt (the Aussie). As they became friends and bonded over their shared love of food and culture they realized the food/bev market was missing something. It was missing a central place where folks could eat well, enjoy a cocktail and browse some quality products for their home and pantry. Together they created MRKT SPACE - a local spot where the community can gather and relax, enjoy delicious food and drinks and find unique gourmet products for their own kitchens. After much success with the first location at Leighton Beach in Perth, Australia they are bringing the MRKT SPACE experience across the globe to San Diego.
MRKT SPACE Encinitas is the first U.S. location in the MRKT SPACE family and sits between Coast Highway 101 and the famous Beacon’s Beach. In Encinitas we are perfect for the foodie in flip flops. The patron who loves nice things, but doesn’t take themselves too seriously. We are the coffee stop on the way to your surf check, your refuge after a long day at work, the corner store where you discover an unexpected new favorite every time you stop by.
MRKT SPACE La Jolla Shores, our 2nd U.S. store, opened its doors this summer and is already a favorite among the locals and tourists alike. Just up the street from the sand and smack dab in the middle of the bustling Avenida de La Playa, we are the go to location for beach essentials, tonight’s dinner ingredients and a night out with your favorite friends.
